Automated Review of Drawings and 3D Models
Since engineering drawing reviews are often slowed down by repetitive checks against company and ISO standards, we developed AI Review.
AI Review automatically detects deviations in technical drawings and 3D models, reducing manual effort and helping review experts focus on what matters most: design intent, manufacturability, and critical engineering decisions.

How AI Review Supports Technical Drawing Review
AI Review uses artificial intelligence to automate the review and assessment of 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models. The software identifies objects, symbols, dimensions, and design information, comparing them against your company’s engineering standards and design rules to detect errors and deviations automatically.
When a design is ready for review, AI Review performs a comprehensive quality assurance check, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and requirements. Detected issues are annotated directly within the drawing or model and summarized in a detailed report, enabling faster corrections and reducing manual review effort.
Whether reviewing 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, or both, AI Review helps engineering teams improve consistency, accelerate iteration cycles, and increase efficiency throughout the design process.
The platform can be integrated with existing PLM and business systems or deployed as a stand-alone web-based application.

Frequently asked questions
Can AI Review help us comply with ISO GPS and ASME Y14?
Yes. AI Review supports your work with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) according to ISO GPS and ASME Y14 standards by verifying geometric symbols and tolerances in technical drawings.
Manufacturing companies often face challenges ensuring that drawings are interpreted consistently across teams, suppliers, and customers. Differences in interpretation can lead to production errors, delays, and increased costs. Global standards such as ISO GPS and ASME Y14 help create a common framework for defining and communicating geometric requirements.
AI Review assists designers and reviewers by automatically checking geometric symbols and tolerances against applicable standards. Any deviations are documented in a report with explanations, making it easy to identify and understand potential compliance issues.
As a result, AI Review becomes a valuable support for companies working with ISO 1101:2017, ASME Y14.5, and internal design standards. Together with our customers, we continuously expand this support and also help organizations that are looking to begin their journey toward ISO GPS and ASME Y14 compliance.
How do you manage data security and ensure data ownership rights?
Trusted by leading manufacturing companies, we work with highly sensitive engineering drawings. With our tool, you retain full ownership of your data. AI models trained on your data are not shared with other clients.
Our certification in ISO/IEC 27001 is a formal confirmation of our work to protect that data in accordance with the highest standards. ISO/IEC 27001 is the leading international standard for information security. For our customers, this means assurance that:
- We manage information security through a structured, risk-based management system
- AI Review follows strict security controls, whether deployed in the cloud or on-premise
- We are a reliable, long-term partner for scaling automated drawing review in a secure way

What kind of AI is used, and how does it interact with our data?
We use machine learning models based on deep neural networks and other techniques for computer vision. Our models are therefore strictly predictive and cannot be used for generative purposes. Thus, they cannot make any changes in your data or drawings.
Under the EU AI Act (AI Act 2024:1689) from March 2024, our models fall into the minimal risk category, meaning that they can be used without EU restrictions or regulations.
Can AI review check drawings against information from systems such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), SAP, or other ERP systems?
Yes, we offer several solutions for this. Please contact us, and we’ll be happy to explain further!
Can your software integrate with systems like Siemens NX CAD and Teamcentre PLM?
AI Review can be integrated with all types of programs. Contact us and we will be happy to provide more details!
What is the difference between AI Review and the built-in checks in CAD?
AI Review should be seen as a complement to these systems. What cannot be reviewed by them can be handled by our system. This includes more advanced criteria or company-specific rules. Contact us and we will be happy to explain the difference further in a meeting!
Does the software operate on a cloud platform or an internal server?
Both options are available, depending on what best suits your company. Contact us, and we’ll guide you further.
Do you have reference customers?
Yes! If you would like to learn more about how our customers use AI Review in practice, we can provide relevant reference cases and customer contacts upon request.
Please contact us, and we will be happy to discuss your specific needs and connect you with a suitable reference customer where possible.
