Cibes Lift Group – AI Review

Cibes Lift Group is one of the world’s most innovative manufacturers of space-saving lifts designed for fast and easy installation. With our shared roots in Gävle, Sweden, we are proud of our partnership with Cibes Lift Group.

Background and challenges

With R&D departments across three continents; Europe, Asia and North America, Cibes’s local engineering teams exchange a large volume of technical drawings daily. These drawing require through review and often need to be adapted to local drafting practices and language characters.

To ensure high quality and streamline the review process, Cibes sought an AI solution that could enhance efficiency while maintaining the quality of the drawings.

The solution

Following a successful pilot project where Cibes tested the system, they decided to proceed with implementing AI Review and setting up licenses. Our next step was to understand what was unique and important to Cibes drawings and requirements. This allowed us to tailor AI Review specifically to their needs. Now, the system identifies everything from Chinese characters to incorrect or missing drawing symbols.

For each drawing, a report is generated where any detected errors are both noted on the drawing and explained in detail in the report. This feedback ensures that errors are caught early in the process, allowing engineers to make quick adjustments. As a result, Cibes avoids these simple errors from progressing internally or being passed on to suppliers.
